U R 02:44
Lyrics: I was driving home last night I took the long 'cause it gave me time to think about me and you In that order I must think No regrets or taking back the things I have given you No it doesn't stop the pain but it softens the mistakes I have changed and you are just the same So maybe we should part ways Does it hurt you when I leave I say I'm busy but do you believe me? You're far too hard to read Grieving doesn't stop the pain but it softens the mistakes I have changed and you are just the same So maybe we should part ways

Lyrics: Keep me close if you can I won't be here for long and I'm not coming back for anyone It's okay for you to cry I am safe, I am kind but I won't be here for long so tell me what you're thinking both of us have nothing in common both of us have already split the bill Will you miss me when I'm gone or will you just move on? I'm far away and your face is pixelated Will you miss me when I leave or have you already deleted me from your phone? How far is too far to go? Can we please not pretend that this was ever gonna work that you had never looked around for someone else You might have won me with more time but I was always too polite to turn you down flat outright to your face both of us have nothing in common both of us have already split the bill Will you miss me when I'm gone or will you just move on? I'm far away and your face is pixelated Will you miss me when I leave or have you already deleted me from your phone? How far is too far to go?

Lyrics: Closer than a brother closer than a friend Falling for each other through the internet Dreaming of magic moments but I wake before we kiss Feeling accountable for the way I let you hold my hand Box me up and enclose my heart for return Forward me on and I'll forget I was ever yours That we ever paused to take the time to learn, to find out more about our feelings That we found a space within a crowd to move our feet and dance the night away Box me up and enclose my heart for return forward me on and I'll forget I was ever yours

Birds 02:46
Lyrics: Seeing all my faults clearer than ever why am I a contradiction of fear and hope I heard you say you're proud but of what? I'm weak when I should have been strong My mistake was to think that life would never change My restraint was believing fear would never go away I think this season's coming to an end All the birds are disappearing I'll go with them The loneliness will fade and I'll stay awake Guarding my soul till the sunrise breaks My mistake was to think my life would never change My restraint was believing fear would never go away Birds take me with you I want to fly North for the winter too

about

A collection of songs written in the months after leaving Christchurch, NZ, 'Keep Me Close (If You Can)' is Jo's first EP release post-Jazz School. With every ending comes a new beginning is the theme of the EP, with each track exploring the final stages of a relationship (or two). Mostly painful, sometimes enlightening and always worthy of yet another song, 'Keep Me Close (If You Can)' documents the close of the first chapter in Jo's life.
